Now I’m not even gone front and act like I catch every album or EP an artist drops… because I don’t. But I took some time to really sit down and listen to Chicago rapper Howie Stackz latest project, “Fried Hard,” and honestly? I had to run it back twice before I could even give a real review.

Why? Because it was one of those projects where you catch yourself saying, “Wait hold up… I didn’t know he could flow like THIS,” while also wondering, “Why is there so many features on here?” But after listening through it two more times everything started making sense.

The title “Fried Hard” actually fits the project perfectly. Every track carries its own flavor, energy, and vibe. Whether it’s music for turning up at a kickback, getting active in the club, riding through the city late night, or hearing it performed live at a show, the album feels built for different moments. And while every song may not have personally landed in my top favorites, there were definitely a few tracks that stood out immediately.

Some notable standouts include “Lemon Pepper” featuring CantBuyDeem, “Pop Out” featuring Ne3ph, “Options (Spend It),” “Whole Time” featuring Rell Cash, and “Player 2” featuring Westside Don and Rell Cash. Those records instantly grab your attention and really help set the tone for the album.

Sonically, the mixing on the project is solid. You don’t have to struggle trying to figure out what anybody is saying, and the production gives each artist room to actually shine; so thank you to the producers Damerunitup, Floaty Beats, Blaze Beats, & JBTheProducer. A big shoutout to all the featured artists who helped bring the project together including CantBuyDeem, SolarFive, Westside Don, Ne3ph, Vincodaman, Rell Cash, A$tro $taxx, Stock Marley, Ju Blick, and Crypto Dex.

Overall, “Fried Hard” is definitely a project worth adding into your rotation if you’re looking for something with energy, versatility, and different vibes throughout. Be sure to go stream “Fried Hard” by Howie Stackz and stay tuned to see what he has in store next especially when it comes to upcoming performances and new music.
